New Bass Guitar Pickup

Planning on building a one string bass guitar? Here's the pickup solution!!
I guess this can work out for as little or as many strings as the player would like.
Break out the drill! :lol:

That's not all that original, EMG has pickups similar to those that Ned Steinberger has used for years on his instruments.

Or they are meant to be used with an active circuit ... a really active circuit, like one operating at 20,000 volts! Calling Tesla! :lol:

Well, it wouldn't actually take 20kV to use a 2.7 ohm pickup. It could be done with a modern high gain op amp and could easily be run on a single 9V battery...
