value of a Tone Pot for a J6

The tone pot on my J 6 quit working i tryed deoxit faderlube stll don't work.
Put a meter on it nothing the back of the pot is stamped 31P043 under that 304942.
I Put a mixer pot from a Rick 360/12 thats 500k it works.
But i would like to know what value it should have

tone: 250k audio taper
volume: 500k audio taper

You gave me what i wanted 250k or 500k.
But i found At http://www.horseshoemagnets.com/userfiles/wiring.jpg
Wiring for Ric steels volume=250k audio taper and tone = 500k audio taper
