What has to be done to a 330 or 360 to change the Tailpiece
to the one on the 350V63

You''ll need to remove the "R" bracket and install a new bracket for the 350V63-style trapeze TP. If you use the standard Rick bracket for a trapeze TP, you'll have to drill new holes. Winfield Vintage makes a trapeze TP bracket that is designed to replace the "R" bracket without the need for drilling new holes. That allows you to switch TPs without drilling.

You will have to drill four new holes for the Trapeze tailpiece.


BUT.....if you don't mind having four holes with nothing in them, if your strap button fits snugly into the body's threads....the strap button alone can easily hold the tailpiece down/tension from a 6 string.

That's brilliant !
If you want to change back to the "R" you otherwise would see the wholes of the Trapeze Tailpiece unless you only use the strap button whole like Collin suggested.

Heres mine that was a one way road and i screwed the holes.Im happy with the trapeze but do have to say that acoustically the tone has changed with the trapeze more of a Metallic ring to it ,not quite as smooth as the `R`.
When unscrewing the strapbolt make sure you use a protective cloth if using grips etc as not to damage the bolt.

The Winfield Vintage brackets look like something I would like to try, too bad their site indicates they are out of stock.
Will have to keep checking to see if they get them back in stock.

The Winfield piece is cool-----but $50 for a piece simply to plug some screw holes seems too much. The strap bolt method works fine for me!
