Roy: Going out a fair bit on the limb here, the singing on this is not very well done and suggests a singer in his very early days. A studio outtake, perhaps? The backup musicianship is basic but quite good. So is this another group where the headliners do not perform beyond singing and studio musicians are the order of the day?

No an Album track credited to a group but with a named singer, nothched up 12 hits including a number 1 in US in 60s but only made UK charts with one singel strangely in 75 with a song t5hat had been a big hit in US in 1966

Thanks. This song sounds like Save You Heart For Me. As such i would guess it may be Gary Lewis and the Playboys.
