Also a good guess Kira but no it's not The Bluesbreakers.

This is a band that played a lot of traditional American R&B in their live sets. Besides a number of songs that charted well they also had one major hit single (over a million sold) which earned them a gold record.

No not The Pretty Things Roy, although they also played this song live.

I would have said The Yardbirds too.
