I guess I'm old-fashioned... I like my Searchers to sound like the Searchers!
This song also doesn't really grab me either - too "bitty".
Having said all that, thanks for putting it up for us to hear, Roy - it's all fascinating stuff.

An interesting track Roy.
We should all remember, as you point out, that it is a demo, not a finished product. That said, I'm glad they ended not getting this deal as I doubt the end product would have ended as satisfying as the Sire albums. Sire, Moran and Stasium knew what the Searchers were all about and took them back to their roots.

Another rarity and again a track that lies in some record vault under heading "Not For Release" I love this track actually

You Got me originally done by Tanya Tucker but I do believe Falling In Love was written by the group.
