anyone remember a year end cleanup of unclaimed prizes on "THE PRICE IS RIGHT" back in the late '70's maybe early '80's ?
they had the entire line of rickenbacker guitars and basses up for bid. maybe mr. hall might recollect this or f. c. may have donated the instruments. this was a substantial advertizement on national television. re-runs too !

can someone who is on the RIC site ask about this query to mr. hall . it must only be one person and a person who regularily asks questions to mr. hall. i don't want mr. hall barraged by this question, so the person who will ask will be the first person to reply to this thread and deliver the message. please be someone of high stature on the RIC site. please ...no one else bother mr. hall on this matter. any takers ?

here's the reply for rickenbacker on the subject...(i had bought some screws from them so it paid for the answer ! lol) it was far better than i hoped and something to go on. might try to find back issues (re-runs) of the show.

John says he remembers send a few guitars to the show, but does not remember how
many. He doesn’t know what came of the guitars. Most likely the show's producers
sold them off or gave them to employees.

A few weeks ago, there was a Beatles prize pack including a Ric, Gretsch, Hofner, Ludwig drums, trip to London, and a few other things...had to be the best showcase that I've ever seen on there.
