I always seem to be saying this, but it sounds like Eric Burdon to me.
A striking version, to say the least.

Nick: The answer of Eric Burdon would be incomplete.

Eric Burdon. I belive this was the New Animals; if so Andy Summers might be on it.

Credited to Eric Burdon and The Animals taken from the album Love Is may have been a single too.
Previous albums credited to Eric Burdon and The (New) Animals so how come the new was dropped I am unsure on.
Andy Summers was on the album.

I don't really know Burdon's career path - my ears told me it was him, and not the Alan Price-era Animals backing him.
I know at some point, around 2000 I think, he was doing concerts sharing the bill with Nancy Sinatra... I always wondered what the audiences looked like!

A clip from a live concert in 2006, call me a purist but Eric's lost the plot.

I don't dislike the arrangement - it's quite interesting - unfortunately, I think he rather lets it down when he sings. I'm a believer in re-arrangements, Dylan of course being the ultimate example of this kind of thing. As I say, I just think Burdon rather spoils this one.

Peter let Jeff or Nick post it they were both near enough, I also believe I have one in the bank so to speak.

As Nick has sent many, perhaps you could send on along Jeff.
