New Musical Express Poll Winners concert in '65. Rics and Vox amps all around. Virtually every A-list British Invasion act was present for one spectacular show. Just unbelievable. Animals, Kinks, Stones, and Beatles all on one stage!?!?

Man... Denny Laine had everything going for him. Wonder why he never saw huge success as a solo artist (not that Wings guitarist is a bad gig... ).

Featuring: I Feel Fine (John on J-160E) and She's a Woman (Paul makes mention of John switching to his Ric, IIRC)

What "Really Got Me" (pun intended) was Pete Quaife's terrible backing vocals. God, he just couldn't harmonize, not like Paul or even Keith Richards (KR can't harmonize now). You can hear Ray's voice buried in the mix compared to Pete, and he just looks so angry during that whole performance.

The Who should have been here, but alas, they were recording "Anyway Anyhow Anywhere" as this performance took place.

Still, a phenomenal lineup!

Sounds Incorporated: Might that Gretsch 12-string be the mythical George Harrison Model prototype, reportedly a gift from George himself?

This awesome video is a classic: on stage the best of the BEST british bands ever, it's unbelievable !!!
I would have a time machine and gave back to '65 to be there (at that time I was only 3 months old.... )
