About 3 p.m. a low-flying pelican distracted him as he traveled north on Interstate 45 just south of the hurricane levee near Omega Bay.

"It's a bird....it's a plane.....SPLASH!"

Now----I just wonder how much your insurance premium is on a Bugatti Veyron? Just the fact that you own one should be sufficient insurance by itself.

Some dudes were admiring what they thought was a Lamborghini

Oops!!!

The "driver" had told his insurance company, post-crash, that a pelican flew into his windshield, causing him to lose control. Then this video surfaced. Oops.

The commentary from the "Dudes" filming is priceless, though.

Amazing that someone got video of it ...

I thought this part was quite telling:

The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.

I wonder, if he was holding the wheel instead of his dang cell phone, if he could have kept it under control...

What a numbskull. You would have to really know nothing about cars to mistake a Veyron for a Lamborghini, even at a distance.....




That driver totally lost it too. I see NO pelican around!

I'll bet he had a pelican in his pants when they fished him out.

$1.25 million for a car that can't even outrun a seagull? I'll pass...
