Katelyn Merrill & Friends - Winter Wonderland

My girlfriend is short on cash this year, and decided to record some songs and send them to friends and family as gifts. I, of course, am on board to help out! The first one we finished is "Winter Wonderland". That's the old v68 holding down the low end - mutes up! The "guitar" playing the lead bits is actually my new '63 Bass VI. Enjoy! 8)

If the other songs on Katelyn's CD are as good as Winter Wonderland (no doubt that they will be), I'll take two copies of the CD. Just send me the price and the address where you want the check sent. :D :D :D

Thank you kindly, Rich! This will be a free download on the forum in it's entirety by Christmas. :)

I'm just trying to kill two birds with one stone   .
Help Katelyn with her cash shortage and to be able to put a Christmas CD in a coupe of stockings.

Upon listening, I hear some small changes I want to make to the mix. I'll leave it up for now, and replace it with the remixed version when I get around to it.

Great work and great idea. Short on cash... that my problem this Christmas. I'm loving the Bass VI licks!

The track sounded a wee bit distorted in my media player (mastered a shade loud maybe -or maybe my morning ears need tweaking?).

I like the last verse you came up with, John. Did you write it?

That was my thought as well Noel - it's pretty hot and is peaking in spots. I'll give my ears a rest before I remix!

I assume it's a very small gift, if you're keeping it in your trousers then?

Awesome! Very TJF-ish on the backups.

That is charming! What a nice idea and what a lovely voice your Katelyn has! The Bass VI sounds great, too. Happy Holidays, John!

John, I finally got around to this... cool idea and great rendition! Getting me in the mood for the holidays. Katelyn sounds good... as does the playing! I can hardly wait for the finished product!

Let me add to Kira's observations that I am really impressed that you both approached this old classic with energy, class and dignity. I am proud of you both. What a great job.

Nice job with the retro production style. Great harmonies, too.
