Practically all great artists accept the influence of others. But... the artist with vision... by integrating what he has learned with his own experiences... moulds something distinctly personal.
Originality (imo) means... the ability to mix up various elements and come up with something new. When you take it apart you realize none of the elements are really new, but the end product is. The more originality you have in yourself, the more you see in others.
