the 'Made in USA' pickguard sticker...

so i just pulled the trigger today on a 325c64:

and i noticed that the sticker on the pickguard is not the rectangular 'Made in USA' sticker i'm used to seeing...the pictures in the auction are not high-res enough to show the details. i have seen the round 'Made in USA' sticker before on the early-90s ricks (e.g. the JL signature series), and i also see it here on what has been listed as a 4001c64 in thailand:

so what's the story with the round sticker? does it depend on the time period? is it somewhat random (i.e. some get the rectangular ones, some get the round ones). the seller for my 325c64 says that it had been there since it was purchased, and this is a 2006 325c64.

The round sticker was about mid/late '80's to mid/late 90's.

Looks to me like a rectangular USA sticker that has been worn away to the current shape. The rest of the guitar looks great, I wouldn't get hung up on the sticker.

I agree it looks ragged on the edges.

hope it's indeed just a heavily worn rectangular sticker. i was just thinking whether it's possible that it's a round sticker, which may suggest that the guitar is from the 90s (as joey suggested)...thus possibly a v63 (rather than a c64) that is simply packaged with the c64 case candies and unfilled warranty card. i mean suppose the seller got it from a previous owner who had both a v63 and a c64 and decided to keep the c64 and sell the v63 as a c64...in that case, it's perfectly reasonable for the seller of my auction to think that this is a c64. anyways, just me being paranoid...
