Trivial Pursuit Beatles edition

I was doing a little shopping yesterday and noticed the brand new Trivial Pursuit Beatles edition. Goes for around $40 retail. I see Amazon has it for about $25. Being a trivia nut and a Beatle nut, this is a must have. I have it on good authority that it will be "under the tree" in a couple of weeks, so I resisted gifting myself.

That;s been around at least since last year, as that's when I got it... have only had time to play it once though

Beatle Trivial Pursuit - only beatle related questions, then???

Sadly, it would be just another game that I wouldn't be able to get anyone to play. I'm not really allowed to play Trivial Pursuit or Scene-It anymore. I'm curious to hear about how the game is though.

I'm not sure of your reason but, before you posted, I was thinking "nobody I know would play with me, because I'm the only one who is that into and knowledgeable about The Beatles." General trivia is one thing... Now name your best friend's best subject, other than your own, and see how much fun it would be to play them on their own turf!

Yeah, I've had it here for about 6 months, still in the plastic wrapping... :( :(

Not many will play a specialized trivia game with me because of areas of expertise. It's kinda frustrating. I'm normally relegated to being a moderator.

Well, when I would play the standard version of the game with my family back in the '80s, my sister changed the rules to "even things out" ... when I landed on a square where I could obtain one of the plastic "wedges", I had to answer every question on the card correctly, not just the question for that particular category. Nonetheless, I often still won the game.

(Thus the quote below!)

Sorta reminds me of a contest at an all-inclusive family vacation in St. Kitts in the 1990's. The contest involved Beatle knowlege like in a game like 'Name That Tune'. While my family assumed that I would be the best at guessing Beatle tunes, the steel drum band mangled the songs so severely that they were beyond recognition.
