Sorry if this has been covered before, but advanced search didn't help me find such a thread.
Also sorry for such a silly topic. Anyway.
Who's your favourite movie/series character, and why?
My choice is: Lieutenant Columbo. Because he is — Columbo, you know.

That's Uma Thurman, Jim. Despite the Hollywood make-up I'm sure she's old enough to, um, vote...
OK, now you've done it, Sheena. We're gonna have to have a
Kill Bill fest here tonight and warm up this rainy evening.

Robert Donat: "Good-Bye, Mr. Chips". From the book by James Hilton, who also wrote, "Lost Horizon".
Simply the best film and actor from an era when we had time to count our blessings.

It's a cult classic, but I loved Martin Short in 1994's Clifford
You wouldn't lie to me, would you Uncle Martin? 'Cause if you did I'd be so angry I don't know what I'd do.

Kira: Kiddo is a longtime favorite character of mine. The first 'Kill Bill' film is a modern classic.
Paul: I love 'Lost Horizon'. Who can argue with a steamline moderne paradise in the middle of the Himalayas?
Favorites change from day-to-day. Here are three from different eras:
Space cowboy and likeable rogue, Han Solo:
Romain Duris as Xavier in 'L'Auberge Espagnole'/'Russian Dolls':
Gene Kelly as Jerry Mulligan in 'An American in Paris':
