The tapping stuff doesn't really interest me, but it seems like there could be some cool applications that aren't really touched on in the video demo. I like gadgets if they are useful, but I don't want a gimmick. What do you all think?

Tough to tell how gimmicky it would wind up being ... I guess it would depend on one's own individual style of playing whether it would be very useful or just a novelty.

That is very cool. Somewhat limiting by its very nature I would think, but it may prove to be a very interesting addition to a soundscape just the same. Only $34.95 too.

Cool, but I don't think I'd have much use for it on a bass...

Interesting bit of kit but I'm all gizmo'd out!

This looks cool. I think once the Christmas toy embargo is removed (I get completely shut down after Thanksgiving by my CFO ), I might invest in one of these. I can envision several applications for my acoustic noodlings...

Interesting gizzmo, agreed. But I think I'll take a pass on it. I don't think it would have much of a serious application for the music I'm playing right now. It would be more of an idle curiosity in my hands.
