Very high price, but less than a year ago one sold for $3900 on ebay... yes, sold.
I'm definitely watching it. Not that I would ever want to sell mine but that I would want another... less pristine one, so that I could get it defretted and play it. I'm seriously Jones'ing for a 5 string fretless.

If you check out Sound me out's other auctions, you will find their price is on level with the rickenbacker spares they sell. 2 to 3 times the price in the States. But they ship to Europe...

That's pretty over-priced, IMHO. There's a near-mint 2002 4003s/5 FG for sale in my area priced at the equvalent of $2600 USD. Maybe I should buy her? Nah, I'm only a 4-banger!

ya its mind boggling what people think what these rigs are worth.I have a 5 ,i wouldnt pay mare than 1500-2000 for one in my opinon.actually i been thinking on getting rid of mine and getting a 4003/4string.I got the 5 back in 2000 i was big in the heavy metal music and got tired of d tuning.now im 10 years older and fading out of it and getting in the 80s.I belive 4 strings will be around for decades to come and past my life time. just my opionon.

Our UK prices for Rics and spares are truly horrific. But it's not just Ric's, it's not unusual to see almost £ for $ by the time US goods are exported over here
Basically it works like this: your Dollars "go further" for you, I think we Brits are paying their travelling fares
