I'm rather an oafish lead player, but here's me being un-Jangle-ish.
Note: No stomp boxes were harmed or USED in the making of this video. It's just guitar - cable - amp.

Yes, Rickenbacker instruments are good for rock and or roll music without jangling.
Sounds great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tend to track ALL my lead work on a Ric when recording.
