Cover This Hits #35

From Peter McCormack

Cover The Hits #35

Three points, who had the original, what is the name of this group, and what connection did this group leader have with a UK music king?

Well I know who did the original but I have no idea who did this cut so I will pass for now.

The first point is easy but I'll defer it to Brian. For the other two I'm at a loss.

Not Fats, Roy. Clue 4: Explore the skiffle connection.

Yes, Roy. I was distracted by the festivities here. Fats is, of course, correct.

The correct answer is Chris Barbers' Jazz and Blues Band. His connection is with skiffle and our famous Rock Island Line man, Lonnie Donegan.
