The Santa slipper on the Taurus pedals put me in laughter - but the rest brought a tear of joy to my eyes. That was lovely and very moving, Miguel.

I too like the slippers... nice touch. I also like the bowed bouble bass. Merry Christmas, Miguel. Your work always delights me. Please continue.
Chris Squire's "Night of Silence" has, after only two years, become one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs, right up there with the very best of Paul Mauriat, the Jackie Gleason Orchestra, Vince Guaraldi and Robert Shaw. His use of counterpoint melody in this composition proves that he still has so much to offer us musically. Perhaps 2010 will yeild more music from this master singer / bassist to keep us going long into the new year and beyond...

Thank you my friends!
Like many of you, I agree that "Swiss Choir" is a very special CD. It's not just "My favourite musician made a Xmas album"... Chris went back to where he started having contact with music, through English church choirs. On doing that, it is possible for us to have an idea of which sounds were flowing through his ears, all the emotions and, eventually, what became a big inspiration/influence on his work as a composer, bass player and singer.
Hope you continue enjoying the season, and all my best wishes for 2010!
