How many 381V69 guitars were made during the 60s ??

And, when were the first 12 string versions made ?

They would be designated 381. The V69 referes to the reissues. I believe the 381 was first released in '69 so my guess is that the numbers would be low since there is only one year.

There is a bit of info on the 381 model in the Smith book, pages 178-179. Bottom line is that (apparently) there was not an original 381-12, even though RIC "re-issued" it. But I would not be surprised if an "original" 381-12 has surfaced. The 6-strings were first made in the late '50s (very few) and then from 1968 through 1974. The reissues (first 6-strings, then 12ers) were made starting in 1987.
