230 Bridge Saddles

I have a 230/6 and the bridge saddle adjustment (grub) screws are worn, making string height adjusting virtually impossible.I have RIC on a few occasions, but not had any response to date. Does anyone know where I can get replacement screws?

Failing that I would buy a replacement bridge set up but as the model is now obsolete I don't know where I would get one. Looking at the RIC parts inventory the bridge set up for 650 guitars looks similar, does anyone know if this is the case? Again I have asked RIC about this in emails with no response.

Thanks

Brian :x

Welcome to the forum Brian. You should be able to purchase set screws at any reasonably stocked hardware store. If it is the same bridge as a 650 they are most likely metric screws. The bridge on the 650's was changed last year to a Schaller since the originals are no longer available.

My 230/6 is from 1989 and the original bridge had screws that were so small I couldn't find anything to adjust them. So I put the bridge on a project guitar and got a new Schaller from Stew-Mac, as it is the same exact bridge and always has been. The difference between these and the original one from my RIC is that the adjustment screws for the height of the saddles are larger, and the bridge comes with an adjustment allen wrench to fit too. You can find them here.....
