RIC faker at NAMM

This question may need to be moved to another section. If it does, that's OK.
I was looking in another thread with the NAMM 2010 photos, and saw a Chinese company with a RIC 4003 faker on display. Does RIC have international copyrights on their designs and can those be enforced at NAMM? RIC I doubt would be none too happy to see that on display.

There was also a guitar maker from France at the NAMM show, who had bass guitar models with bodies very close to the 4003...and admitting that as well!!

Here's me displaying my ignorance, but I didn't realize there were ANY internationally significant guitar makers out of France.

Who said anything about "internationally significant"?
There was a Korean manufacturer who displayed a 4003 knockoff, too. And, they should have known better...

And they can't count. Says 24 frets, but there are 22. Still, 2 more than the usual. But yeah, yech!
