One of mine favorite models is 650.
So I have united 4004 with 650.
consequence:

4654 model,
Satin MID, chrome finish.
do you like it?

A very cool look, Mario. Please comment on the tone, unless it was created with photoshop.

Yes, as suspected. It is cool, nonetheless.

now that you've ruined my surprize,

, here's my project 4450 i designed back in 1979 after seeing robin zander's(cheap trick) 450 with the thick body and the rick catalogue i received in '79 that was printed in 1975. the 450 in that catalogue got me thinking to marry that body style to match the 4001 head stock as they seemed to be a perfect pair. of course i wanted to have the hardware similar to the 4001. problem is the body length is too short for the neck scale , so you need an extended fretboard or elongate the body somewhat but trying to keep the same body shape at the same time. (btw...mine was done in pencil shop !

)
i've got full scale bristol board layouts i did after copying a full sized 460 at a guys house i called up from a newspaper ad in 1986 ! "hi, i see you've got a guitar for sale ! i don't want to buy it...i just want to copy the shape !...we've been best friends ever since ! he owns a company called electrosonic in toronto, where i got all my electronic needs for amp repairs.
i bought a donor bass off ebay to do this project with and showed it to bassduke when he came to visit. don't worry, body wings were not restorable so only the neck section was salvagable.

Cool idea. I'd put the Schaller bridge from the 4004 on it though.

I've always wanted to do that. Gary (Dr. Who) and I were talking about that at NAMM!

moocho greasy arse fer savin' an old dude ! as i said...it was done in pencilshop in '79 !

the 30" scale at the time was in keeping with the original body dimensions. i dubbed it the 4450.

Looks like it has a lapsteel horseshoe surround on it.

it's the squire type surround, i just didn't make the tail long enough. the drawing is five inches tall. the bristol board one is 1:1 scale. my project will have a '75 4001 center section.

If I recall correctly I believe Jeff Rath had done a photoshop job on a 650 / bass 2 or 3 years ago. It was probably a 5 sting if it was Jeff.

I like it, but would use another toaster rather than a horseshoe - I can't play with those bloody covers on!
