A red oak in my backyard. Well. it was in my backyard, now it's partially back there, and partially on my neighbors roof. Heavy ice, followed by sleet and now snow.

Ouch! I hate it when that happens...

Strange weather indeed. After 3 weeks or plus temperatures the bulbs have decided that it is spring here. Most of the trees in my yard now have buds on them. Sorry to see you have lost that beautiful tree Stan.

Thanks, Kira, we're fine, the trees on the other hand aren't doing as well.

Yeah, Brian, I'm sorry to have lost the tree, but my neighbor will probably be glad when I get it off his roof. Thankfully, it was a slow fall, and didn't come crashing down.

I hope your neighbor has a sense of humor, and you're friends!

scastles...you could teach that oak a lesson and turn it into kitchen cabinets to serve as your slave forever !

Yuck. I've had that happen before but not falling on a neighbor's house.

I've had a high-speed storm come through when I lived in No Where, Texas that blew one tree over on a farm house and flattened it, dropped half of a huge (5+ foot diameter) oak tree on the main house and another half of another tree onto the garage.

Home/garage were saved only to be engulfed some years later in a fire.

Getting the tree off the house was not fun.

Hope nothing was major and that everyone is still safe from the elements.

I hear ya, Ron, arctic air over an unfrozen, warmer LM and we are getting blowing snow. 0F tonight and -teens windchill. Uncle!

Cabinets, no. Firewood, yes.

My neighbor didn't even know it was on his roof until I called him. So I guess there is something to the riddle, "If a tree falls in your yard and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

you'll have to ask canadian artist, bruce cockburn on that one. i know i did when we were in the same rehearsal facility. he just looked at me,

your neighbour probably didn't hear the oak hitting his house cause you play your rick...too dammed loud !

btw...mr. cockburn complained the paint on the walls in the triple wall rehearsal room was giving him a headache, so he vacated the premises. ( it was the caulking sealing the room joints !) kim mitchell stayed cause..."that's a man !"
