The guy who makes these also posted this on TB: "I'll have these bezels for sale on the website as well as a replacement Ric bridge that I have been working on for a couple of years. It replaces just the bridge saddle retainer and fits onto the stock Ric bridge tailpiece with no modifications. It fixes the issues with the stock bridge saddles intonation screw access and rattles and offers individual height adjustment of each string. Looks stock too."

It looks really smart! I hope he comes through with the bridges as well....

it looks very smart and wish him success ! i would not purchase one as i use the edge of pickup coil to rest my thumb on when i "dig in". this would eliminate the space i can rest my thumb on but looks very cool for a straight picker dude.

I wouldn't buy one myself. I've gotten used to having the pickup cover in place, but I do think that piece is well thought out. I think it looks much better than the Pickguardian surround.

From his website: "It has a thin rubber like feel to it and acts as a nice non slip anchor for you (sic) thumb."
As smart as this insert looks, I don't see where you would anchor your thumb.

Actually, this is pretty similar to something I dreamed up and was always going to make, but never got around to doing. Mine was going to be metal with chrome plating or polished stainless. I think it's pretty cool, and the ABS material is probably better than what I was thinking about...

I'd like to know more about his bridge. Didn't see it on his site. Any more info somewhere?

Agreed. But I wouldn't want one because I prefer the gaping hole surrounding my pickup. That hole, and the top of the treble pickup are THE place to anchor one's hand when playing a Rick bass finger-style.

The gaping hole can also double as a spittoon!

Well, for me at least...

And for me as well. I need to generally be anchored at least an inch from the E string. Plus, I like the pull you get just inside the neck pickup and that deep hollow tone.
