For those interested, he's starting his Up and Coming tour with two dates announced, so far. Phoenix on March 28th, and LA on the 30th.

Will he consider Australia for the first time in 17 years???

I've just forked out $180 for my wife to go and see George Michael (puke!), with her girlfriends, not with me!!.....Please give me something worth dealing that kind of cash out for!

(Nightwatcher)
Sir Paul McCartney [reportedly wants to retire with a huge farewell world tour next year. The 67-year-old Beatles legend is [said to be] planning to play at a host of "unusual" locations before walking away from performing large scale shows.....[An unnamed source told The Sun] "Paul wants to go out with a bang. He's played countless stadiums over his 50-year career and is on the hunt for the most unusual locations he can find.

Paul McCartney: 'I'm not retiring'
Former Beatle denies tabloid reports that his next world tour will be his last
Tabloid reports last week (July 31) stated that the former Beatle was on the verge of announcing details of what would be his last tour, which would apparently see him call at unusual venues including China's Tiananmen Square and Berlin's Checkpoint Charlie.

In all fairness I did put a wink.

he's flip flopping... he's a flip flopper!
from what I read it looks like he is/has been playing sort of special venues citi field, the bowl, fenway, their talking about wrigley now too. maybe this is it, so far as a tour is concerned. (probably not when you consider the eagles, cher, cream, the stones, etc....but... whatever)
it sounds crazy that he hadn't been there in so long.... George Michael Ouch!
I found this blurb about Australia not too much detail I'm afraid and it's dated around the same time as the others above

All I'd seen was the tabloid headline..... I actually DID think he was retiring.
Here's to Paul.... May he enjoy hundreds more "Farewell Tours"

Unfortunately, for us US folks he's already scheduled UK dates for June - hope that doesn't mean it's just those few dates for the US...
