Ok im haveing a fight with myself, I cant decide what new Bass Rig to get, im torn between an Ashdown Klystron 500 head matched with the Ashdown Neo414h cab both made in the UK, or the Mark Bass 104 HF 4X10 Cab with either the Mark Bass TA501 Head or the SA450 Head or the TSA 500 Head, im really digging both choices of amp manufacters, the Ashdown, i have the complete rig, but undecided what Mark Bass head to get . any opinions would be greatly appreciated, hey Jeffery Scott, I know your a Mark Bass guy so perhaps you can give me some good insight on the Mark Bass heads, thanks everybody. Fighting with yourself, Ange? Eh, don't give yourself a black eye!
You're probably best off bringing one or two of your favorite basses to stores that carry these amps so you can hear your basses through them.
A little jps Markbass advice won't hurt either...I think.

I think I hear my name being called!

Is it just in my head?
Here's a little jps Markbass advice: F1, baby!
Try other brand cabinets, too, along with the Markbass cabs, for more options. If you had the time to wait, you could have a custom cabinet made by Low Down Sound. Don makes superb cabinets, and you have lots of choice in what you get, without just the usual cookie cutter 4-10/1-15/2-15/8-10. etc. You've probably seen the photos of the LDS 286 (2-8 with a 6 1/2" mid/high driver), right?

Sounds great for such a small cabinet.

Yeah, let Lois give you the black eye, instead!

Nah, I think they're past the sibling quarrels by now.
Jeff, you forgot pics of the amp from the top and from underneath!

Joey, that looks like 4-8s with a 8" mid/high driver. That thing should kill for it's size.

Yep, that's what I'm looking for. Light, easy to move, with a clear and formidable voice. My blues band might be working out, I hope.

I wouldn't rule out Gallien-Krueger, although it looks like you may have at this point. My Neo 212-II weighs only ~45 lbs. and along with my 700RB-II provides plenty of oomph for any sized club. The bi-amp feature allows the horn to be run off of a separate 50W amp and the main amp pushes 480W into 4 ohms or 320W into 8 ohms. Interactive EQ for bass/low mid/high mid/treble, contour scooping...

Call Don, see what he can do for you. Nice guy and will spend time making sure you have him build just what you want/need.
