What is the justification behind the £3700 price tag for this guitar?
Do they charge that sort of money "just because they can", or are there some super expensive components and processes used on this one?

Not sure why, but they increased the prices sharply for the "C" series reissues. The 'C58 doesn't seem to hold its value though, as one just sold on eBay for $2025 -- mint condition from the original owner...

Yeah, i nearly fell off my chair when i saw that too a few days ago!
I know they are not the same guitar but,it makes me feel sick that i sold my 325V59 MG for £600 back in 96!
I was also amazed at the price on the Gretsch Custom Shop Eddie Cochran Tribute 6120 too,i paid half that for my original 1957 6120!
But i just love that Eddie guitar!

Yeah, well, the Eddy guitar is available non-Custom Shop for under $2500.00. You can do the wear yourself by loving it to death.
Better than hype, anyway...

I have a question on the 325C58 also. In comparison to the 325C64 - can someone explain the differences in the the vibrato systems on the guitars with respect to the complaints I have heard here and there about people disliking the Kauffman Vibrato on the C58. I realize the bodies are obviously different too -
thus the sound differences, but if someone would also like to elaborate on the sound differences between the two - that would be nice too. Thanks.
