Cheap Guitars are Good

I just bought a used Telecaster knock-off for $150.00 + tax. The pickup selector switch works, the tone and volume knobs both work, no loose connections, and it sounds pretty good. I think I'll have it set up for slide playing. Always wanted a cheap electric for slide. Pix at 11.

Johnson. Probably made in Korea, or China. Who knows?

Yeah, I wondered when the go play with your johnson jokes would start. Forum rules.....so behave yourselves
On second thought, just for that, I may consider getting a Tele neck from Warmouth and bolting it onto that guitar.

Peavey reactor, hands down the best tele knockoff out there, getting hard to find, usa made, better than a mexi tele, not as good as usa teles, i traded mine for a MGB, wish i still had the guitar, only paid 150 bucks for it in '02

I was talking to the Exec Dir. today between lessons. And he noticed it had EMG pickups on it. He told me those are pretty good. So I'm thinking I scored pretty well for a cheap guitar. Can't bring it home for a few months. You married guys understand....

My wife is pretty good about my burgeoning guitar collection. She even helps me add to it by cruising ebay looking for guitars that I have an interest in.
