i used to love that band ! my cousin in new brunswick had some of their albums in the '70's. he mixed them in with a 12" high stack of vinyl out of their sleeves, and with the dirt road out side the open window, all the particles would make their way in-between the lps. as you would choose the record you wanted by lifting up on them, you pulled it out and it would make a zipper sound ! great for that "bacon and eggs" background noise we all hold so dear on our fave recordings ! he also had about four nickels taped to the tone arm to track the warped vinyls. "memories...how they fade so fast !" "look back, there is no escape !" (when jeff posts something)
judging from their neck lines, the album should have been called "illusions on a double chin" ! while they were feeding us emerson lake and palmer riffs, they were feeding themselves...well !

I used to hear Triumvirat on XM's progressive rock station all the time, until they decided that I must have been the only person in the world to listen to that station and so they pulled the plug on it.

Not the only one. I went around and around with the (then) program VP about the channel/programming duplication they had and the transponder room they really had to keep XM MusicLab. His reply; not enough listeners and that it was online. When Sirius merged with/absorbed XM, that online channel went away, along with having to pay another subscription to listen online. At least XM understood if you were in the car you weren't online and if you were online you most likely were not in your car....
Always liked Triumvirat - didn't know they were German. A low power startup station in Grand Rapids MI used to play them a lot.
