Hello again, I have a 3000 question

Hello all, been a while since I was around here. Good to see things still in order. I have a quick question. How often do 3000's show up and what do they usually go for these days?

Welcome back, Robert.

Prices on the 3000s have crept upward over the years. I traded mine in 1999 or so for $450 (non-original HSC), and actually was happy with that!

The only recent one on eBay (ended March 15th  ) was a 1976 3001 MG listed for $850 and it received no bids:

Using this auction as a "too much for the demand" benchmark, maybe $650-$750 would be a good selling price?

That one was a refin as well which may have affected its perceived value. I think a clean 3000/3001 can still garner anywhere between $800-1200 depending on condition and finish.

Thanks, guys! I'm hoping to pick one up, someday when the time is right. I have a thing about short scales right now.
