Might be a Warmoth body (I remember their advertisements in Guitar Player which included a 360-style body). The would-be inlays and clunky neck heel are huge warts on this creation -BUT- I do like the wood on wood aesthetic.

DIY projects can be a LOT worse than this. Anyone remember the guitar with John Lennon's face carved into it?

Yup! That one was originally a 1975 JG Rickenbacker 430... With John's face carved into the body I would say that it will never again look as it did when it left the factory!!

I did a google image search for pictures of paul Wellers black 330 and that picture came up on one of the pages!
I think it was posted on a guitar forum somewhere.

This very guitar and another 380-esque one were discussed on this forum several years ago. They were made by a former member and caused much wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth.
