I know what it is but is the binding factory or something else.Ive never seen this before.......Tell me its not tape....

Weird that it's not on ther topmost top edge... interesting, though... kind of double bound...

It might be tape though.

Looks like tape or paint to me.

It might be tape though.

I seem to recall a case of painted on "binding" being discussed a while back. Different guitar though, that one looked more like real binding than this...

Looks like 3/16" wide pinstriping tape to me.

The top's not done because tape would not stick for long--it's a high-wear area.

That's why we use binding!

340 + 8 feet of vinyl tape = FAIL.
