Trying not to drift the thread too far off course......

My cousin, Nicola Smith has just completed a PHD in British Northern Soul music (A first I believe)
She is being presented with her doctorate at the Royal Albert Hall in London by Sir George Martin.
We are a musical family! :)

Love the Dexy's version of that too.

We always used to have a little section of the evening with Mod cross-over tunes, things like Nobody But Me by The Human Beinz (on Rob's recent and rather excellent compilation CD) and this dancer B side by the Kinks.
