We could always design our own Rickenbacker tartan.

This is about as close as I could come to Fireglow and checkerboard

I'd think that a bad case of Sporran Rash could damage more than just your guitar.

My sporran is made of soft (now-illegal) sealskin, Todd. :D

As for kilts, Scotty seems to know the same thing I know: swish + swagger = swoon!

I've done a few acoustic spot in my kilt -but never an electric show. YET. Those ghillie brogues might be a tad slick on the pedalboard.

Maybe that's why Ashley MacIsaac wears Doc Martens with his tartan. 8)

Considering its close proximity to important stuff and the fact that flea and tick season is almost upon us, don't you think it might be wise to put some Frontline on that furry Sporran, just for good measure?
What?.....You mean you guys haven't invested in a pair of Ghille-Beatles? All the cool Kilt-Rockers back in the sixties had 'em.

....and when they strapped on their custom Tartanbackers it sounded just like this:
(I've been meaning to try this for a long time, just for fun, and this thread finally gave me a good excuse. Two tracks 370/12, 2030TB bass, drums on the synthesizer)
http://webpages.charter.net/tbradshaw/M ... otland.mp3

Can you tell that I'm supposed to be crawling around on the floor making a sail for a customer and am looking for any excuse not to?

Loved that sound Todd one minute of greatness maybe there is a market for that? all fun stuff but just to be sure i spray myself every morning with Midge repellent cause in the glen we dont need to worry about fleas as every home has them.Additionally the Mrs loves nothing better than a tick needle and me home early.Anyway everyone knows tartanbackers are going to be the new 2011 COY only not everyone knows its only for the F models.........

Can you tell im supposed to be doing estimates for customers and I am looking for any excuse not to?

Now that I think of it.....back when I was actively in the music business, I made a lot more money off of 30 second and 60 second stuff for commercials than I ever did from concerts or albums. Maybe the Tourism Board of Scotland needs a new theme song?
