Its amazing that everyone thinks this is Whineys song,, Dolly Parton did it decades before,, but this song s definitly not my favorite in any version,

Agreed on all counts, 'sodbuster'...and: did you mean to type "Whiney"? 'Cuz if you did, kudos to you.
Whitney Houston has done more to destroy the concept of 'melody' than any other singer in history. I have a good friend who is a vocal instructor, and she's about to give it up because every young girl wants to be taught 'how to sing like Whitney'.

That's only one of my issues with Whitney. She's definitely down on pipes and the beneficiary of lots of post-production.
There is a whole crop of auto-tuned schlock female vocalists, since Whit's heyday, whose hunt-and-peck style of singing I find to be really irritating. No need to name names or mane manes.
