Stupid 350 question

Would a bridge VP sound the same in a 350 Liverpool as in a 350 V63?

I realize the pickups are further apart on the V63 than the Liverpool. Does anyone have both set up with VP's that could tell me?

I had a chance to play a 350 V63 and love the VP sound but prefer the longer scale neck feel of the 350 Liverpool so I thought a Liverpool with VP's might be the ticket.

An excellent question in my view.

I believe that it would be very difficult to tell the difference between a VP in the bridge position in the 350 Liverpool and the 350V63. Their tones, given equally matched VPs would be essentially the same to the ear. I do think that differences in tone would emerge between the models when the bridge toasters were used in concert with the neck or neck and middle positions.

I too would be interested to hear from those who have conducted such comparisons.

My opinion: Bridge pickup would sound identical, as scale length is the same and position of the pickup is the same. (Number of frets ≠ different scale length.)

Neck position? TOTALLY different sound. Same for all pickups blended. What that difference is, I couldn't tell ya.
