This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I had never seen a picture of the group until a few months ago when I saw this video. I had thought that the guitar was a Tele. Anyone know if the Rick was used to record the song or if it's just a nice prop in the video?

The first time I saw this video, I made up my mind to get a Rick 12. Got my 330/12 about 2 months later. I've owned it longer than any other electric I've had. In the Live in Austin video of this song, Nick Kane is playing an Epi Riviera 12. I had one and IMHO, my Rick blows it away. BTW, last time I saw Raul he was playing a PRS 12.

I've owned a lot of 12 strings and played just about all the models. Top 5 in order:
My Rick 330
My '66 LPB Fender Elec. XII
Burns Double Six
The 12-string neck on my Dano doubleneck
Phantom Hollow Teardrop 12

Discussed last year
here.
The consensus is that the Rick he was playing was his main guitar; can't say for sure what happened in the recording studio!

Thanks for the link Ron. I'm a noobie; as you can tell by my posting The Mavericks here rather than as a New Topic.

That's a great track! Love that song - and all the other "one hit wonders" from the swingin' 60's

That was my 360/12 WB MG that I sold to Raul. I was in a wedding/garage/club band with
the guy who is playing bass in that video. We used to hang with the Mavs quite a bit. Man
I wish I still had that guitar!!
