This guy bugged the hell out of me for a while, but the more I watch the more he seems like a pretty cool guy with a helluva lot of energy. He can play though and it's nice to see someone not be shy about playing such killer guitars.

He is over the top in a caffeinated Jack Russell sort of way ...and he screams WAY too much.

But it's great to see so many vintage Rics (and all manner of other makes) being put through their paces.

Pretty entertaining, even with the chatter.

Gives me a whole new impression of Fretted Americana. Their displays are pristine (bordering on anaseptic) and their prices usually out of sight. I didn't think they were into the Phil X type of thing. But it's great to hear those guitars played by someone who knows what he's doing. So they are doing something right!

I met him at the Santa Monica Guitar Show here in LA last August. Very cool guy, nice, fun, humble, great player. I'm more impressed with the video's since I met him.

I've seen many Phil Xenidis videos.

He's a trip and fun to watch / listen to.

He is both annoying and entertaining, and posting vids of your guitars is a great selling device. I wish more dealers did that. But those prices... they've had the same Ricks for at least three years. Some cool pieces, but when you're at least 20% higher than the other dealers you're not going to be moving much merchandise.

First-class, talented, "Happy" cat. I'd love to have him in a rock band backing me to my vocals. I'd have to acquiesce to his greater guitar playing, but I'd still write the songs. Remember, the songwriter makes the most $ of the 4, or 5, or 6 at most?

I enjoy his videos but sometimes he seems a little too rough with some of the more delicate vintage guitars.

First off, I really like the opportunity to see vintage Ric's and to be able to hear them is an added plus. Fretted America uses Phil X as a marketing tool to sell vintage instruments, I get that. Phil X gets your attention and for the most part keeps it through out the entire clip. He is a very entertaining guy. 8)
