I'm looking at changing the knobs on my Janglebox.
When playing live it's really hard to see the settings, it's the only 'fault' with an otherwise brilliant pedal.
Has anyone got any suggestions for a type of knob that would slot right on and would be easy to see?

Actually, that was always one of the very few minor annoyances I've ever had with the J-Box, so in compliance with my motto "mod anything that bugs you" a while back I decided to take action. First, I was thinking maybe chicken beak knobs, but after pulling one of the originals, I saw that the pots have a very tiny shaft - maybe 1/8" diameter, with no flats, flutes or anything else for the knob to get a good grip on (thus the two good set screws on the stock knobs). These considerations ruled out most of the knobs that I know to exist and I was too lazy to drive over to Radio Shack and dig through the drawers. So, what I did was to build my own "senior citizens model" by painting the tops of the original knobs flat black to get rid of the glare off of them and then I added a partial silver stripe on the top, lined up with the pointer line on the side. Maybe not as classy as the perfect knob (if it exists) might be, but they look decent, show up well and solve the problem for almost nothing invested but a few minutes of time.

You might want to consider the MXR-style knobs from PedalPartsPlus.com. They're available in two sizes, have set-screws, and have high-contrast markings. Plus, I think they look pretty cool--I've used them on most of the pedals I've built.

I have the same complaint about not knowing where the position marker is.... otherwise the JB is a great pedal.

Its a Daphon Super Chorus - cheap (like $29 ar so, brand new), surprisingly solidly constructed and not too bad as a texturizer as long as you don't go nuts with it. It will never blow a way a Roland JC 120 when it comes to chorus quality, but for what it cost it's OK (at least when running on battery power. With an adaptor it tends to make an annoying, up-and-down background hum - even when the chorus effect is turned off).
