12 String headstock development in the 80s

Does anyone know if 80s 360 12-string headstocks got bigger like the 6 strings?
From what I can make out in the 70s and into the very early 80s the 12 strings stayed with the older-type (are they Kluxons?) tuners, while the 6 strings moved over to the bigger Groovers. But then in the early 80s for a couple of years the 12 strings had the big Groovers (quite a lot of metal work on the head), until Schallers became the stock tuner for all of them after 1985.
So in the 80s the 12 string went from Kluxon to Groover to Schaller. But did the 12 string headstock as with the six string get bigger?
