Hi all...

I just recently dug up my old '67 360/12 to restore, so-ooo joined this here forum to get some inspiration and advice...
It's quite a mess, as you can see here:

Here's a little tune I whipped up many years ago using this guitar:

Anyway, it's nice to be a part of the forum, and look forward to getting this baby back in shape...

Cool! A former convertible/comb model! What are your plans to restore her? Please keep us posted. :)

Wow.....
All these years and I never noticed that....

So that's what the filled dowel holes were?? A convertable/comb??

See, I've already learned a lot by hanging around here...

The Rick 366/12 is the official title for your model.

You can see what one would like here:

Thanks!

I passed one of those up for 350.00 back around the time I got my guitar...'80-81 or so....

So, would the red under the truss rod cover designate it as "fireglow" originally??

Thanks!

Fireglo is a good possibility. There are experts here who might be more discerning as to what the tint is around the truss rods.

Is there any clear coat on the body, or is it just down to the bare wood?

Those 12-string tracks were DI'd through an old RCA BA-6A compressor...
My secret weapon for getting "that" sound to tape with a Ricky 12...

Where and how did you come up with that piece of gear, may I ask?

I used to stop in at radio stations and ask if they had any old gear kicking around...
That was back in the day, before this stuff became highly sought after...

Apparently Tom Petty and Mike Cambell use the BA-6A for recording guitars as well...
It's just got a great great sound...

Nicely done song :D ... but it is pronounced "Rick-en-back-er" not "Rick-en-bok-er" ... :D
