I wanted to share this track and some info on how it was recorded. I used two different amps both built by Dario Gomez (a new forumite btw) as well as a pair of his G-Spring Reverb Units..some recording data:
Surfer (100 watt head w/ 2 15's) was set at 8..G-Spring Dwell at 3
mic's a pair of Shure 57's
The El Sonido (55 watt head w/ 2 12's) set at 6 with it's own G-Spring dwell set at 7
mic's one Shure 57 and EV 868
Also was a room mic an AKG 414 six feet back from the amps
Lead guitar was a Yamaha SGV 700 bridge pup
This link take you do the song page of our Reverb Nation and will start the song in a few sec's.."The Wedge"

Perfect 'verb man! Saturated without over ringing. Grail tone.
How many towels did you have to throw at Sticks to dry him off? Blistering is definitely the best tempo description.
Many shades of surf classics alluded to but driven onward by the killer tone and beat. Highly groovy.

Many thanks for the kind words Dean...We're very lucky to have Eddie Reuter on drums. He's not only a hot drummer but he an excellent all around musician and has great ears in the control room. Here's a you tube of Eddie several years ago playing guitar and singing a song that he wrote.
