Help Restoring Chrome Tuning Keys

Is there anything that will help restore the chrome on the tuning keys?
Judging from your signature, you're referring to bass tuning keys?
Any good metal polish will work up to a point. If there's pitting or if they are deeply scratched, you'll only be able to go so far...
