Nice review of the new PR&R compilation in this month's Vintage Guitar, with some band history to boot.

I always liked how they straddled rock and pop, but was confused by their goofy costumes. They were a serious band.

Besides, they had a VOX Connie, and that cheezy sound MAKES the MIX.

Would be interesting to read on how they ended up with the outfits..for a lot of us our first look at the band wa on that old Dick Clark afternoon show...name of which eludes me at the moment

"Where The Action Is"!
This has always been my favorite Raiders Song. Played it on my LPB Fender Elec. XII back in the day. I love the counterpoint between the riff on the guitar and the "Satisfaction"-inspired bass part.

The outfits and groove-moves became gradually more ridiculous . . .
