yepper ! obama just drove past my shop on the thruway from the buffalo airport. massive traffic jams around me as the cops shut everything down for security...you should hear the people screaming in rage as they drive by with their windows down as the president interupted their day. airforce one is at the airport two blocks from me and a C-141 brought the limos yesterday and flew over my head as i was letting the doggie out for a pee...big, big plane. all is quiet now and the traffic is subsiding.

Lol I had the same experience sitting on Constitution Avenue in DC a few weeks back. A cop pulled into the road at random and blocked it off. I was super confused until I saw all the roads blocked on the way to the White House. They sure have a LOT of support vehicles in that convoy.

I guess I'm glad that, even if he drove by here, which I'm certain would never happen, we still wouldn't have any traffic jams...

If he drives by here CJ he has lost his bearings big time. I would buy him a cup of coffee and offer him a place to stay though.

ok...he's gone back to the airport now , so traffic is back to normality. 3:54 pm. if i ever met a president, i'd ask him to watch the movie "DAVE".

Where I live, in Los Alamitos, is a small suburban down with a population of only 12,000 people, but our claim to fame is having a local military base with the only private runway in Southern California long enough to land Air Force one.

In the 15 years i've lived in this town i've had at least three presidents drive down the street, which is always a spectacle when you are expecting it (and even more surprising when you're skateboarding down the street NOT expecting it. )

Small town... 12,000 people... huh. Our county covers 5300 square miles and only has about 4000 people...
It's no wonder Obama would never show up here, not enough voters...

Yeah well.....you do live in the least densly populated state in the continental US, CJ.
Heck....they don't even have speed limits over there.


You'd have to consider that cities in orange county aren't seperated from each other by any land....it's just one megalopolis connected together and our lowly 12,000 connects to nearby Long Beach with a population of nearly 500,000.....and a stone's throw from Los Angeles (3.8M). Other other neighbors have 25K and 50K, respectively. Yes, we're tiny.

Gee, glad we took that recent census. Otherwise I just don't know what I'd do with myself on a Thursday night.

When I moved to Temecula, CA in 1990, there were 24,000 people here and one traffic signal. Today there are almost 110,000 and neighboring Murietta has ove 100,000. Nowhere to hide!

i'll bet you still got the one traffic light as well, eh ?

We have a traffic signal... 75 miles away in a city in the next county east of us...

I saw him bop down the steps of Air Force One at LAX.
