Just seen his son Dylan playing drums for Wilko Johnson, didn't know Steve used Rickenbackers always thought he was a Gibson player

The first guitar solo on "Awaken" was a 12 string Rickenbacker and it sounded truly fierce. That particular guitar got nicked and he now has another 12ver. (I beleive that he also has an Rose Morris model in his larder)

I remember Steve Howe playing a 6-string Rickenbacker on "Perpetual Change." That was on the "Tormato" tour.

As I recall, he was known at one time to have a fairly eclectic collection of stringed instruments even though he was mostly associated with Gibson hollowbodies (ES-175 comes to mind but I don't know if that was the actual model). Anyone with a large enough collection will sooner or later, I hope, include Rickenbackers. ;)
