6 string recommendations

I'm a bassist who dabbles in guitar for my own enjoyment at home. Throughout the years I've owned a few acoustics, upgrading every few years to something a little nicer than the last. About two years ago, my in-laws gave me an American Strat. I've been playing that electric more frequently and, since I love my RIC bass, I figured it might be a good time to look into a 6 string RIC. I'm sure there will be many varying recommendations, but which 6 string model would be a good "entry-level" instrument? I've had my eye on the 620 because I love the design and size, but I'd like to hear what the community has to say since I've never played a RIC electric guitar. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I concur with you initial choice.

The 620 is a great little guitar. If that's the model that gets your blood pumpin' go with it. You should be able to find a used one for a reasonable price, too.

The 620 is a great little guitar (the body is very compact - which can be a big plus, or minus, depending upon one's preferences). The 330 and 650 are also well worth a look and are in a similar price ballpark.

The 620 is a great guitar and mine is one of the first things I would grab if the house were on fire and the family was safe but, that being said, if you're used to wide spacing, the 620 can be a bit of a challenge because the fretboard is fairly narrow.

Then again, an instrument that requires you to be precise is not necessarily a bad thing. ;)
