4001C64S on ebay-no pickup

Hey all! New to the forum and really enjoy it. Really good energy here. Looking at a 4001 and am thinking of bidding on a black satin C64s on ebay with no neck pickup in it. Figure I can repair it easy enough, but has a no return policy. A bit suspicious at the least. Presented as a 2009 but I don't want to bid on a fake. I haven't owned a Ric since right after I was in high school (1978 4001 Fireglo) so my knowledge is not near what most of you have about these. Any expert help on ID'ing this bass as for real would be appreciated. Peace.

Welcome to the forum William. A link to the ebay auction would help.

It is genuine. Don't know the seller. The high-gain will run around $150 from the RIC boutique.

Welcome to the forum, William. The easiest way to post a link is to copy the URL of the ad and paste it into your post like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3D1&_rdc=1
If you learn the forum BBCode tags, you can make it look like this:
4001C64S on ebay-no pickup
Looks like a genuine 4001C64S to me.

That lacks the Horseshoe pickup, not the neck pickup, and replacing it would be rather costly if you're going for originality.
